How you begin the day is very important because this will have effect on the rest of the day. There are a lot of morning rituals that people practice and one such popular ritual is drinking warm lemon water. However, it appears that drinking warm lemon water doesn’t provide all of the benefits lemon has to offer. This is because the pulp and the peel aren’t included and they’re highly nutritious.
On the other hand, boiling lemons in water and then drinking the water supplies you with all the nutrients. Here’s how to prepare the lemon water:
You will need:
6 middle-sized lemons
20 Oz. of water
First you need to cut the lemons in half and then put them together with the water in a pot and boil them for 3 minutes. Then, leave the pot to cool down for 15 minutes. Next, remove the lemons and the pulp and fill a cup with the water. Add a bit of honey if you like a sweeter taste. Transfer the rest of the lemon water in a glass bottle for later use.
These are only some of the benefits of lemon water:
- Strengthens your immunity
- Prevents colds
- Increases your energy
- Improves the digestion and the metabolism
- Detoxifies the body of toxins
- Balances the pH of the body
- Refreshes the breath
- Clears the skin
- Aids weight loss
- Betters your mood
- Hydrates the lymph system
Important to note
There’s no need of reheating the water every morning, but you can drink it cold. However, if you prefer it warm, heat it up a bit in a coffeepot.
Drinking lemon water will help you be more energetic, hydrated, and healthy. Enjoy!
